Become the Ultimate Pet Trainer at Animal Behavior College

Q: Why did you decide to take both ABC’s Dog Obedience Program and ABC’s Cat Training Program?A: “I completed ABC’s Dog Obedience Program back in 2010, before the Cat Training Program was offered. I wanted to have a career doing something I loved. As I started my business, PALS Dog Training, LLC., I realized that a high percentage of my dog family clients also had cats. The decision to get my Cat Training certification was a business decision and a heartfelt decision. At age 6 I was rescuing cats in Maine. The ability to help the entire family was a plus.”

Q: How has taking both programs helped with your career with animals?A: “My business has grown now that I offer both canine and feline training. I have the satisfaction that I am helping both the cat and dog adjust in the home.”

Q: What do you recommend to those considering taking both?A: “I highly recommend taking both the dog and cat training programs[2] through ABC. First, you set yourself apart from the competition. Secondly, you have satisfaction knowing that you are making a difference for the entire family.”

Q: How does your training approach differ since you have taken the programs for training both types of pets?A: “My training approach is and always will be force free, positive training. The amount of time spent at one session is less when working with cats. The approach is similar with both cats and dogs. You just need more patience with cats!”
